This is too much to be true. So is there a band going on? I never expected to hear more than bazoukis around here... (I can say that - I'm half Greek.) Seriously, I'm not plugged into any early music activity in the city, which seems odd in its own way. Having three practitioners concentrated in the neighborhood is quite the coincidence, I think.
Roman, I played pluck instruments (lute, psaltery, gothic harp) at the Conjunto de Câmara de Porto Alegre (Porto Alegre Chamber Ensemble), for many years. We played music from Middle Ages, Renaissance and Contemporary music written specially for us. I have written many pieces for the ensemble, wich were recorded in gthe nineties, when I had left the group. I will send some pieces with lute.
Thanks for letting me know, I'm already a member of lute. I just thought that this group was an extra group specifically for the baroque lute. I don't have a facebook profile but just in case can you give me the appropriate address?
I love your Ostinato pieces particularly your Ciaconne work (I'm one of those ostinato freaks obsessed by Ciaconne, passecaglie ed altre folie and the like so I'm looking forward to any other such pieces...)
I have written a transcription of the Variations on a Murder Ballad for 10-string guitar. The score is attached.
I played this transcription on a recital at Teatro de Arena (Arena Theatre), in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
As soon as possible, I will record it an send to you.
